Dexpro Dynamics Interview Featured on ERP Software Blog: Treating Clients Like a Priority, Not a Pipeline

August 28, 2026

We are proud to share that Dexpro Dynamics was recently featured on the ERP Software Blog, one of the leading independent publications covering the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. In the interview, our founder and CEO, Marlena Stark, talks about what makes Dexpro Dynamics different: our sales process, our service model, and our belief that the way a partner treats you before you sign tells you everything about what comes after.

We are sharing the full interview below.

A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Partner That Treats You Like a Priority, Not a Pipeline: Interview with Marlena Stark, Dexpro Dynamics

There is a version of the ERP partner relationship that most businesses know well: the contact form, the qualification call, the handoff to a sales rep, and somewhere down the line, a demo that looks a lot like the last one. Marlena Stark, founder and CEO of Dexpro Dynamics, has built her company around a different premise entirely.

In this interview Marlena shares, in her own voice, what it actually means to treat a client like a priority, what her firm has in common with a luxury hotel, why she sometimes tells prospects to go with a competitor, and where she sees the partner model heading as AI reshapes the industry.

Interview with Marlena Stark, Founder and CEO, Dexpro Dynamics, ERP/CRM Software Blog Member

You have a reputation for running a very different kind of sales process. What does that actually look like at Dexpro Dynamics?

Marlena: I ask for one hour, that’s all. In that hour, I want to understand your business, what you need, what Business Central can realistically do for you, and I can walk away with a high-level estimate for the time and money involved and a demo tailored to your needs. Not a standard presentation we pulled off a shelf.

I was sitting in a session recently and partners were talking about doing custom demos occasionally. I said, “occasionally”? I was in a state of shock. I have never done anything but a custom demo. My business is all personal.

We do not assembly line you. You are not a McDonald's drive-through. We want to know your name and we want to know how your fries are served.

Where does that philosophy come from?

Marlena: I think it comes from understanding what is actually at stake. Choosing an ERP partner is not a small decision. If we do not take the time to understand your business before the project starts, we are going to be learning on your dime once it does. That is not fair to you.

And the sales process tells you everything. The way a partner treats you before you sign is a preview of what it will feel like to work with them after. That is something I truly believe.

You also have been known to tell clients they might be better off with a competitor. How does that conversation go?

Marlena: It does not happen often, but it happens. Our main competition is NetSuite. Occasionally someone comes in and we know that what they need is going to take a lot more customization in Business Central, a lot more products, a lot more cost. We say it to clients.

Sometimes they still say yes. They tell me, “you told us the truth and we want to work with someone who does that”. We would rather lose a deal than set someone up for a bad experience. That is not the kind of business we want.

Let's talk about the service model. You have been describing something that sounds less like traditional ERP support and more like a hospitality experience.

Marlena: That is exactly it. Think about going to a hotel. You can now text someone that your pillows are not okay. But you still get someone walking up to you saying, “Hello, Ms. Stark. How can I help, what do you need?” That is the experience we want our clients to have.

We structured our support around that. Smaller companies do not want to worry about cloud updates. They have a few users. They pay one flat fee and we handle it. As you move up, you get more. With our top tier, you have an account manager, basically a customer success manager, available to you on an ongoing basis for a flat annual fee. Concierge to your needs.

Is that model working? Are clients responding to it?

Marlena: Yes. And I think it works because most clients are not trying to become Microsoft experts. They bought Business Central to run their business better, not to become experts in ERP administration. Our job is to make sure that is exactly what happens and that they do not have to think about the rest.

Where does AI fit into this? It seems like everyone in the Microsoft ecosystem is talking about it right now.

Marlena: Everyone is talking about it AI. Agents in Business Central is a real focus right now.

But this is what I keep coming back to - AI or no AI, there will be people who still want that personal attention. They want to know a real person understands their business and is accountable. Automation has a place and we are building toward it internally. But the direct interaction with the client, that is the one thing I do not want to lose. AI or no AI.

What does that mean practically for your clients right now?

Marlena: We are starting with education. A lot of clients are afraid of Copilot, afraid of agents. We are launching short sessions, “Wednesdays with Dexpro Dynamics”. Short, sweet, stop being afraid of the technology you already bought. Microsoft Teams is a good example. People are still paying for RingCentral and Teams at the same time because nobody told them they do not need both anymore. That is a service in itself, just helping them use what they have.

What does the ideal Dexpro Dynamics client look like?

Marlena: Someone who wants a real partner. Not a vendor who hands them a login and walks away. Someone who wants to be known. Someone who values working with a team that is genuinely invested in how things turn out for them. That is who we are built for. That is the business I am building.

What would you say directly to a business that is tired of the runaround and wants something different?

Marlena: Call us. Give us one hour. Not a form, not a sales rep, not a qualification call. One hour with us and you will walk away knowing exactly what Business Central can do for your business, what it will cost, and what it will take to get there. No runaround. No assembly line.

And if we are not the right fit, we will tell you that too. But come talk to us first. You can reach us at dexprodynamics.com/contact.

One hour. That is all I need.
