Creating a Date table Using the Fiscal Period Defined in GP

Using the data model from our March meeting for the General Ledger Transactions, we’ll add the Fiscal years tables to the model. With the fiscal year dates, we can create an official date table that will enable the use of Time Intelligence functions using DAX. We’ll be able to create DAX functions like year over year change (by amount and percentage), Year to Date, Rolling Average and Previous Year/Period amounts.
