Create New Customer Directly from Microsoft Team in Dynamics 365 Business Central
A team member receives a message that there is a new customer who needs to be added to Business Central. While the rep/accountant can open Business Central and add the customer, the agent is currently performing a task in Microsoft Teams and knows to engage with Teams (an automated agent or bot) to initiate the process. The agent types a statement – “I need to add data to Business Central”
Here is the summary of this process:
The virtual agent begins to communicate with the agent to guide through the process.
The agent selects Customer.
The virtual agent asks the team member for the customer's name.
Enter.
The virtual agent asks for the customer’s address.
Enter.
The virtual agent asks for the city.
Enter
The virtual agent asks for the state.
Enter
Add the customer email.
Enter.
The customer onboarding process has begun and it’s time for management approval.
The workflow approval process sends a notification to the approvers via Microsoft Teams. Or, alternatively, the approvers will find a notification in their Inbox.
The criterial has been met and the customer been approved. Select Approve
Submit and enter any additional comments (optional)
Customer is created.
